Contracts Officer (UAE National)

A leading Abu Dhabi-based organisation is seeking a Contracts Officer to support procurement, tendering, contract administration and supplier management activities. The role will suit a UAE National candidate with experience in procurement, supply chain or contracts, and a strong understanding of RFP processes, commercial evaluations and contract documentation.

• Support the full tendering and contract administration cycle in line with internal procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist with procurement planning, RFP preparation, bid coordination, supplier evaluation and contract award recommendations.
• Prepare and manage contract documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance and proper internal approvals.
• Conduct commercial evaluations of supplier submissions and contribute to fair, transparent and well-documented selection processes.
• Coordinate bid timelines, procurement schedules, evaluation activities, functional reviews and approval workflows.
• Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, payment terms and contractual conditions under the guidance of senior management.
• Track procurement savings, commercial outcomes and assigned performance targets.
• Maintain strong working relationships with approved suppliers, contractors and service providers.
• Support supplier performance reviews, ensuring meeting notes and follow-up actions are properly documented.
• Assist internal stakeholders with supplier performance issues, disputes, contract clarifications and delivery concerns.
• Conduct periodic market benchmarking to identify potential suppliers and maintain awareness of market conditions.
• Support contract variations, clarifications, exceptions and related commercial documentation where required.
• Review requests for changes to contract specifications, delivery timelines or agreed terms and assess feasibility.
• Work with internal departments and related entities to support tendering, negotiation, supplier selection and contract preparation.
• Maintain complete electronic and hard-copy procurement files, including all approvals, correspondence and supporting documentation.
• Perform additional contract and procurement-related duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• CIPS qualification, or currently working towards CIPS, is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts or a closely related function.
• Experience with RFP processes, tender documentation and contract drafting.
• Good understanding of supplier management, commercial evaluation and procurement governance.
• Strong documentation, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will be a UAE National with hands-on experience supporting procurement and contract activities within a government, semi-government, defence, industrial, infrastructure or large corporate environment. They should be comfortable managing documentation, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and supporting commercially sound procurement decisions.
